Live Theatre will feature eight adjacent workstations and will come alive each day with a series of fast- paced, back-to-back live cooking competitions.
Whatever your skill level, there is an exciting array of competitions available to enter, from your interpretation of a classic dish to challenges that embrace the latest trends. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your culinary talents. We encourage all chefs, junior & senior, based in education and industry to enter a Live Theatre class.

The Skills Arena will comprise a packed programme of cold live classes and front of house skills tests for chefs and service staff at the beginning of the careers.
These skills will support the development of talent within education and industry. Much like the HIT Scotland scholarship programme and the bespoke Andrew Fairlie Scholarship, which both aim to empower inspirational development, the skills arena will comprise a packed programme to develop your culinary skills.
These competitions are tailored to their needs/level of experience and offer the perfect platform to hone and refine the skills which are essential for your career progression.
Entries are invited from students, apprentices and others who are part of a training programme in the hospitality sector. No age restrictions

The Culinary Art competitions will offer participants a great platform to demonstrate their culinary expertise and creativity across various static mediums creating a truly stunning array of exhibits that will be a huge draw to the ScotHot attendees.
There are classes in sugarcraft, pastry, kitchen larder, restaurant plates and a food photography competition.
